Manage your membership
This page sets out some of the ways you can get the most from your membership of the CFM Group.
The best way to get the most out of being a member of the CFM Group is to participate.
We organise regular meetings - come along and meet your fellow charity FMs! Our activities page lists our recent and forthcoming meetings.
Connect via social media
Our online discussion forum is a LinkedIn Group. Once you are logged in to LinkedIn, navigate to the CFM Group on LinkedIn, request to join, and one of our admins will respond. Use our LinkedIn Group to ask questions, connect with members and share your news.
If you are on Twitter, you can connect with us at @charitiesfm.
Contribute your experience
We are keen to hear from our members. You can share your experiences and challenges by participating in meetings, or via our LinkedIn forum - or why not contribute a blog post for this website?
Participate via email
We send out regular emails via the Mailchimp email service. If you have a question or a piece of news that you would like to share with other members of the group, email us and we will be happy to include it in one of our outgoing emails.
Not getting emails?
The CFM Group is a voluntary network. That means we have limited resources for administration - and we rely on our members keeping their contact details up to date.
If you have not heard from us for the last couple of months, two things may be causing the problem:
a) your email address record may be out of date. If your contact details have changed, contact us with your new details, or
b) your organisation's spam filters are filtering out emails from the CFM Group. Here is what you can do:
- check that emails are not being filtered into your spam or trash mailboxes,
- add our email address to your contact list
- ask your i.t. team to whitelist the charitiesfmgroup.org domain.
Publicise your venue
Many of our member charities have venues that they hire out for events. We publish a list of venues for hire, and you can submit details of your venue to be included.
Moving to a new charity?
If you are changing jobs and your new charity is not already a member - tell them how to join.
If you are leaving a charity where you were the main contact for the Group - please let us know so that we can update our records.
